The IPB-1K density sensor is designed for continuous non-contact monitoring in stationary conditions of the density of liquids and pulps in pipelines and various technological installations. Areas of application of the density sensor: ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical, mining and processing, oil and gas and food industries.

The principle of operation of the IPB-1K density sensor is based on the dependence of the density of the gamma radiation passing through the controlled medium on the density of the measured medium (liquid media or pulps). The gamma radiation is recorded by a detection unit installed on the pipeline. In the detection unit, the gamma radiation is converted into a sequence of statistically distributed pulses with an average repetition frequency depending on the density of the measured medium.
